This anthology is a friendly selection of stories and encounters, experiences and environments for you to dip into, all grounded in the East Devon landscape and written by the people who know it well. These include Oasis Cafe regulars, and students at Sidmouth College.

In these pages, experienced and published authors rub shoulders with first-time poets, school children and contributors in the last stages of their lives. There is humour here and sadness, nostalgia and provocation, but pervading the anthology is the recognition of the importance of place and environment, and our relationship to it. the realisation that our own identities are found and formed in relation to the natural world around us. And beneath all of that, the underlying realisation of what a beautiful world that is!
